MCI GB National Championships 2025
This exciting and prestigious Championship will take place at the fabulous facilities of Addington Equestrian in Buckinghamshire on the 6th and 7th September 2025.
To qualify for the MCI GB National Championship Show:
- each combination must be a member of the MCI GB and the horse registered
- each combination must achieve a minimum of one score of 60% or above at the chosen level, this will automatically allow this combination to compete in the Freestyle at that level without gaining a separate qualifying score:
Example – 1 score in the Golega at 60% will allow you to compete in the Carmencita without gaining a qualifying freestyle score.
We strongly encourage you to compete with your freestyle test before the National Championships.
There will be two BD registered judges who will judge each test at these National Championships to help you get ready for the Europeans where there will be 5 registered judges.

Please ensure numbers are clearly visible on both sides of the horse, either on bridle or saddle cloth.
The venue address for the Nationals is Addington Equestrian, Addington, Buckinghamshire, MK18 2JR
This fabulous venue has an International indoor competition arena and an adjacent indoor warm-up arena plus many outdoor arenas. Permanent and temporary event stabling is available for our show together with an onsite restaurant overlooking the main International indoor arena, hard-standing hookups and extensive toilet and shower facilities.

Stabling:
Stables: £55 per night.
Shavings: £tbc per bale.
Haylage: £tbc per bale.
Horsebox Hookups: £55 per night.
Saturday Evening Dinner and Dance:
Outdoor BBQ in a beautiful marquee setting – Price TBC (no alcohol included, drinks available from the bar)
National Championships:
Championships are awarded at 9 levels, and are decided by a combined score of two tests at each level.
Champions to receive £60 prize money and Reserve Champions £30 prize money
Level Young Horse= PRIMERA + NOVILLA
Level 0A = PASO DOBLE + SALSA
Level 0B = NOVATO + TANGO
Level 1 = GOLEGA + CARMENCITA
Level 2 = SEVILLA + FLAMENCA
Level 3 = LISBOA + FANDANGO
Level 4 = MADRID + LUSITANIA
Level 5 = MAGISTRALE + BAILARINA
Level 6 = REYALE + IBERICA

For example – One score in the Golega over 60% will allow you to compete in the Carmencita without gaining a qualifying freestyle score. We strongly encourage you to try out your freestyle test before the National Championships to iron out any niggles though!
